Air Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 2.
Alien Energy - another name for the Evil Energy used in Power Fighters.
Aqua Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 8.
Arm Cannon - a weapon that is interchangeable with a hand that contains opposable digits.
Artificial Intelligence - the ability of a machine to perform those activities that are normally thought to require intelligence.
Astro Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 8 and Mega Man & Bass.
Auto - a robotic mechanic created by Dr. Light.

Ballade - a robot created by Dr. Wily to destroy Mega Man, has naming origins in the "ballad" musical style.
Bass - a robot based on Mega Man's designs created by Dr. Wily to destroy Mega Man, has naming origins from a musical scale of notes.
Beat - a robotic bird created by Dr. Light with yet another reference to musical style.
Blues - the Japanese counterpart of Proto Man, his name is rooted in the slow blues musical style.
Break Man - a disguise Proto Man used while working for Dr. Wily in Mega Man 3, his name has roots in the "breakdance" style of music and dance.
Bomb Man - one of the six Robot Masters in Mega Man.
Bubble Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 2.

DCN - a letter-based system signifying a robot created or used by Dr. Cossack.
Devil - a clay or jelly-like creature held together by robotics that can reshape its body.
Dive Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 4.
DLN - a letter-based system signifying a robot created or used by Dr. Light.
DocRobot - a robot built to emulate the attack patterns of Robot Masters from Dr. Wily's first two escapades.
Dr. Albert W. Wily - long-time rival of Dr. Light and Mega Man, and creator of Bass, Treble, King, and Zero, among countless other Robot Masters.
DrC - a symbol for Dr. Cossack.
Drill Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 4.
Dr. Mihiel Cossack - a Russian scientist forced by Dr. Wily to battle against Mega Man.
DRN - a letter-based system signifying a robot created or used by Dr. Right.
Dr. Right - the Japanese counterpart of Dr. Light.
Dr. Thomas Xavier Light - creator of Mega Man and several other robots.
DrW - a symbol for Dr. Wily.
Dr. Wiley - common misspelling of Dr. Wily.
Dr. Wright - misspelling of Dr. Right.
Duo - a mysterious robot built to destroy the Evil Energy.
Dust Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 4.

Earth - the Japanese counterpart of Terra.
Eddie - Dr. Light's cybernetic suitcase.
Eddy - another name for Eddie.
Elec Man - one of the six Robot Masters in Mega Man.
Emulation - imitation of something in an attempt to create a likeness or similarity.
Energy Crystals - sources of energy required to complete Gamma.
Enker - a robot created by Dr. Wily to destroy Mega Man, has naming roots in the "enka", a style of Japanese lyric poem.
Evil Energy - a mysterious energy signature that multiples the evil in people's hearts; the root cause of Dr. Wily's psychosis.
Evil Energy Robot - the robot that crashed to Earth along with Duo in the intro to Mega Man 8.

Fire Man - one of the six Robot Masters in Mega Man.
Forte - the Japanese counterpart of Bass.
Flame Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 6.
Flash Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 2.
Flip-top - another name for Eddie.
Frost Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 8.
Free Will - the ability to think, feel, and make one's own decisions.

Gamma - a powerful peace-keeping robot built by Dr. Wily and Dr. Light, later stolen by Wily and used for evil.
Gemini Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 3.
Genesis Unit - the three-man stealth unit featured in Mega Man: The Wily Wars.
Gospel - the Japanese counterpart of Treble.
Guts Man - one of the six Robot Masters in Mega Man.
Gravity Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 5.
Green Devil - a Devil-style boss that appeared in Mega Man 8 and Mega Man & Bass.
Grenade Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 8.

Janken - the Japanese concept of "rock paper scissors" upon which the Mega Man series is based upon.
Joe - a repeating enemy in the Mega Man series that takes many forms.
Junk Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 7.
Jupiter - one of the Stardroids, named after the planet in our solar system.

K-176 - model number of DocRobot.
Kalinka - the daughter of Dr. Cossack, kidnapped to pit him against Mega Man; saved by Proto Man.
Keiji Inafune - creator of the Mega Man series and its spin-offs.
King - a robot created by Dr. Wily to take over the world.
Knight Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 6.

litanium - an element discovered by Dr. Light in Mega X.


M:
Magic Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man & Bass.
Magnet Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 3.
Manga - Japanese comics, licensed by Capcom and sometimes based loosely on canonical reference, but usually faulty when it comes to facts and therefore commonly disregarded as canon.
Mark - A particular mode, brand, size, or quality of a product, especially a weapon or machine.
Mars - one of the Stardroids, named after the planet in our solar system.
Mega Buster - Mega Man's Buster.
Mega Man - hero of the Mega Man series, also the name of the series of games; created by Dr. Light.
Mega Man - the first game of the series.
Mega Man 2 - the second game of the series.
Mega Man 3 - the third game of the series.
Mega Man 4 - the fourth game of the series.
Mega Man 5 - the fifth game of the series.
Mega Man 6 - the sixth game of the series.
Mega Man 7 - the seventh game of the series.

MKN - acronym notation for the Mega Man Killers.
Monsteropolis - the name given to the town or city of the first Mega Man game.

Quick Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 2.
Quint - a future version of Mega Man brought back in time using Dr. Wily's stolen Time Skimmer to battle against Mega Man, his naming scheme comes from the musical term "quintet".

Rash - an improper spelling of Rush.
Ra Moon - the ancient supercomputer that came to Earth 20,000 years ago on a scientific observation mission, was featured in Super Adventure Rockman.
Ra Tor - the super weapon designed by Dr. Wily and Ra Moon with the intent of combining the powers of Wily's strongest robots into a single design.
Reggae - a robot created by Dr. Wily who appeared in Rockboard and had a brief cameo in Mega Man 7.
Ring Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 4.
Rightot - the Japanese counterpart of Auto.
Ripot - a robotic racing announcer in Mega Man Battle & Chase.
Robot - a mechanical device that sometimes resembles a human and is capable of performing a variety of often complex human tasks on command or by being programmed in advance; a machine or device that operates automatically or by remote control.
Robot Masters - the general term for the six to eight robotic bosses in each Mega Man game.
Robot Museum - a museum for storage of old Robot Master designs; it was attacked by Dr. Wily in Mega Man 7 so he could steal the Guts Man model; later it was invaded by King in Mega Man & Bass so he could gather data to build his King Army.
Rock - name of Mega Man before he was converted into a fighting robot.
Rock & Roll - musical style that Rock and Roll are named after.
Rockman - the Japanese counterpart of Mega Man, in name and series title.
Rockman - the Japanese counterpart of Mega Man.
Rockman 2: The Enigma of Dr. Wily - the Japanese counterpart of Mega Man 2.
Rockman 3: Dr. Wily's Time To Die!? - the Japanese counterpart of Mega Man 3.

Rules of Robotics - a set of rules followed by most fiction writers when concerning robots, written by Isaac Asimov; they include: #1 - A robot must never harm a human being, #2 - A robot must do obey its creator unless an order conflicts with Rule #1, and #3 - A robot must preserve its own existence unless it conflicts with Rule #1 or Rule #2.
Rush - Mega Man's robotic canine companion that was created as a transportation device, has naming origins after a popular J-Pop band of the late 1980s - early 1990s.
Rush Adapters - name for the various forms that Rush has had throughout the Mega Man games.
Rush Coil - one of Rush's transportation abilities; allowed him to become a springboard.
Rush Jet - one of Rush's transportation abilities; normally enabled him to morph into jet-sled device, but in Mega Man 6 became an armored suit that enabled Mega Man to fly.
Rush Marine - one of Rush's transportation abilities; allowed him to transform into a submarine.
Rush Power - a special Rush Adapter in Mega Man 6 that gave Mega Man a suit of heavy-duty armor.
Rush Shuttle - one of Rush's transportation abilities that appeared only in the Game Boy games; allowed him to transform into a vehicle capable of traveling in space.

Saturn - one of the Stardroids, named after the planet in our solar system.
SDN - numerical notation for the Stardroids.
Search Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 8.
Sentience - having sense perception; conscious or having capacity for thought.
Shade Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 7.
Shadow Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 3.
Shin Yellow Devil - a powerful Devil-style weapon from Super Adventure Rockman created by Ra Moon to attack in case Dr. Wily's plans failed.
Siberian Citadel - Dr. Cossack's fortress in Mega Man 4.
Skull Castle - name for most of Dr. Wily's fortresses.
Skull Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 4.
Skull Tower - Dr. Wily's fortress in Mega Man 8.
Slash Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 7.
Snake Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 3.
Space Rulers - a warring race of robots that existed millennia ago; they later came to be known as the Stardroids.
Spark Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 3.

Stardroids - a set of robots that attacked Earth in Mega Man V.

Super Adapter - an upgrade Dr. Light built for Mega Man in Mega Man 7 that combined Rush's abilities from Mega Man 6 into a single unit.
Super Adventure Rockman - a full-motion video game starring Rockman.
Sword Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 8.

Tango - Roll's robotic feline, occasionally assists Mega Man in battle.
Tengu Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 8 and in Mega Man & Bass.
Terra - the leader of the Stardroids, name originates from Latin word for "earth".
Time Skimmer - the time transportation device Dr. Wily used to kidnap a future Mega Man in order to remodel him into Quint.
Toad Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 4.
Tomahawk Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 6.
Top Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 3.
Treble - Bass' robotic canine companion, modelled after Rush.
Treble Booster - name given to the copied design for the Super Adapter that Bass used in the last three Mega Man series games.
Turbo Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 7.

Uranus - one of the Stardroids, named after the planet in our solar system.

Venus - one of the Stardroids, named after the planet in our solar system.

Weapon Copy System - term for Mega Man's ability to absorb weapon data from defeated foes and adapt it for use with his Mega Buster.
Wave Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 5.
Wind Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 6.
Wood Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 2.

X - a symbol for Mr. X.

Yamato Man - one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 6.
Yellow Devil - one of the more common forms of the Devil enemy.


Z:
Zero - the final creation of Dr. Wily, is partners with X in 21XX as a Maverick Hunter.
